女主角小時候受到父親的不良對待，導致她長大後無法與人好好相處，不懂得如何打開心防，所以小時候她爸爸對家人所做的不好的事情，常常會出現在她現在的生活中。在這首歌中，她唱出主角自己的悲哀，終於在片尾曲終時，她得以釐清這些來龍去脈，決心不再讓同樣的悲哀繼續發生在下一代身上。

個人覺得本片最好看的部份在於：歌手非常投入的演出。彷彿這是自己的人生故事。這麼真誠地演出這麼深刻的故事，這樣的結合，是我不曾看過的。再加上用影像呈現出來的主角內心的省思與改變，使得這樣一個悲傷的故事變得很有參考價值。真是不可多得的好作。
